Over Ivan Boldyrev

Ivan Boldyrev is currently Assistant Professor of History and Philosophy of Economics at the Radboud University Nijmegen. Previously, he studied economics at Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow and philosophy at Moscow State University, where he also obtained his doctoral degree. He then taught history and philosophy of economics at HSE and at Witten/Herdecke University and conducted research at the university of Bochum.

Ivan is a philosopher and an historian of ideas with wide-ranging interests. He published books and papers on the history and philosophy of recent economics, institutional theory, German idealism, and critical theory. In particular, he is interested in the social contexts and consequences of modern economic theories in such fields as general equilibrium, mechanism design, and finance.
