Cornelis (Kees) van der Kooi is a theologian who has published widely in the field of systematic theology and on the theology and impact of (neo)calvinism. He serves as the Head of the department of Dogmatics and Ecumenics and as Director of the Center of Evangelical and Reformation Thought at the VU University of Amsterdam. He was a member of the Center of Theological Inquiry (Princeton, academic year 2006-2007) and in April 2014 he delivered the Annie Kinkead Warfield Lecture in Princeton entitled: “This incredibly benevolent Force. The Holy Spirit in Reformed Theology and Spirituality.” He has published several articles on the societal implications of Christian Thought generally and Reformed Faith in particular. He is the co-author of a successful Dutch-language theological textbook: Christelijke Dogmatiek. Een inleiding Zoetermeer 2012, now in fourth print and in process of being translated into English.
