The symposium ‘From Ratrace to Relationships; Markets in Service of People‘ on 11 April 2017 attracted about 170 participants. Videos from the talks and the closing debate between the speakers are now available on the Moral Markets YouTube channel. Unfortunately for non-Dutch people, six out of seven films are in Dutch. Only the talk of professor Johan Graafland, titled “Market Incentives, Intrinsic Motivations and CSR: Crowding in or Crowding out?” was in English.

About the symposium
The symposium was the opening event of the interdisciplinary research project ‘What Good Markets are Good for; Towards a Moral Justification of Free Markets.’ The project, which runs from 2017 until 2019, is a collaboration of four Dutch universities. The project team consists of people from various disciplines, most prominently economics, philosophy and theology.
